We played at Deepcut for the first time and it took the boys a little while to adjust to the new surroundings and pitch. The game was still 0-0 for a large part of the first half even though we had the majority of the possession and territory. Eventually the deadlock was broken when we were awarded and converted a penalty and that seemed to settle the lads down.

4 more goals came in quick succession in the first half and we went into the break 5-0 up. This allowed us to rotate the players both in terms of the substitutions and the positions they played in with everybody showing a great attitude when asked to play in multiple positions through the game. The second half continued as the first had finished with us enjoying the majority of the possession, territory and chances and 4 more goals followed making the final score 9-0. The goal scorers were Jack Nickson (4), Freddie Phillips (4) and Ethan Dedman (1).

Full credit to the players and coaches of Hartley Wintney who kept trying to play the right way throughout the game and battled to the end, never letting their heads drop.
